The County of Alameda on behalf of the 19 Participating Agencies involved in the Regional Renewable Energy Procurement Project (R-REP) is pleased to invite you to a celebration. R-REP is the nation's largest public sector purchase of renewable energy and a testament to the power of collaboration within the Bay Area. The project will have a significant impact on the Bay Area - including job growth, cost savings to government agencies and greenhouse gas reductions. Please join us for light refreshments and an opportunity for interviews.
Â
The event will take place at the West Winton Landfill, an R-REP site that is slated for development with solar photovoltaics by Alameda County and the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. This project will be a showcase for the development of renewable energy at landfill sites, in partnership with the U.S. EPA and its RE-Powering America’s Land initiative.
